Hauser Jets support injured Columbus North player

Editor's Note: Josh Speidel, a standout basketball player at Columbus North, was injured on Feb. 1st in a car accident near Taylorsville. He was taken to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition.

Blake Smith, manager for the Hauser Jets, wrote:

"We are the Hauser Jets Varsity and Junior Varsity basketball team. We heard about the horrific accident of Mr. Josh Speidel and as a team with such love between one another we wanted to let Josh, his family, and his team know we are there to support them as a community.

On the court we are rivals, basketball players, and not friends. Off the court we do our best to pick up a fallen friend when they have landed on their knees. After hearing about #Josh strong our very own Natalie Taylor Sophomore from Hauser wanted to make this sign. Almost the whole school and teachers signed this along with our basketball team.

We pray that Josh gets through this hard time and want to let him know we are all there for them no matter what color jersey we have on, black and white or blue and white.[[In-content Ad]]
