Hauser Science Olympiad team headed to state

The Hauser Science Olympiad team finished first at the Bloomington regionals earlier this month and now will be going to state competition on March 18th.

The team coach, Deborah Gaff, said that every team member earned medals in more than one event. She credited the students with being willing to take one day of their upcoming spring break to compete in the event.

"I am honored to be their coach," she wrote in an email after the event. "It was an amazing privilege to see each of the team members take the stage to accept their awards. All events are based on the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). Students winning medals in these events show mastery of the standards that are the foundation of each event."
