Hauser track takes wins at 3-way meet

Hauser's varsity track teams started their seasons with wins at a triangular meet Monday at Trinity Lutheran.

The boys team finished with 75 2/3 points to 57 1/3 for Trinity and 16 for Crothersville, while Hauser's girls scored 56 ½ to Crothersville's 50 ½ and Trinity's 34.

Pete Trotter took home wins in discus (126' 2") and in shot put (37' 9 ¾"). Aaron Sweet and Clayon Wilson both finished in a three-way tie for first in high jump at 5' 2", while Wilson also took first place in the 300m hurdle race with a time of 51.3. Hunter Albright won in the 800m run (2:30), Connor Wilson ran away with the 200m dash (25.9), and the 4 x 100 relay team comprised of Clayton Wilson, Connor Wilson, Aaron Sweet, and Jaylin Prichard edged out Trinity in a time of 48.8.

Hauser's Grace Hasler won both the 100 hurdles (7.7) and the 300 hurdles (58.0). Erin Newcomb placed first in the high jump (4' 8"), Brea Metz outthrew the competition in the shot put (33' 7"), and Haylee Embry took the 100 (14.6). Hauser's 4 x 100 relay team won with a time of 56.2.
