Hauser wins track opener

Freshman Grace Hasler won the 100 and 300 hurdles races in her freshman debut and ran legs in Hauser's winning 400 and 1600 relays. Jordan McDaniel and Brea Metz went 1-2 for the Jets in the high jump, and Abbey Ashbrook won the 1600 meter run. Crothersville's Katrina Christian won both the 100 and 200 sprints, while her teammate Breanna Barger took first place in the 400 and 800 middle-distance races.
Hauser's Ryan Seim, Lee Hamilton, and Owen Rush placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the long jump, while Trinity took the top three places in high jump. Noah Hoskins of Crothersville came in first in the 100 meter dash, second in the 200 meter dash, and fourth in discus. Hauser boys swept the three relay events, including a close finish over Trinity in the 1600 meter relay to close the meet. Other first place finishers for the Jets were Hamilton (400), Seim (200), Eli Benfield (shot put), Hannes Petersen (800), and Christian Case (300 hurdles).
