Hope police make drug arrest
By Hope Police Department-
Officer Jason Tucker was called to the 1000 block of Jackson Street because of an argument between Brittney Ciara Leeann Landrem and her boyfriend. Hope police said that Landrem and her boyfriend told police they had been arguing over whether Landrem should bring heroin into the home.
Officers questioned Landrem about the drugs and she allegedly admitted there might be drugs in her car. Officer Rick Everroad used his police dog, Duke, to smell around the vehicle and Duke alerted to the smell of drugs, according to police reports.
Inside of Landrem's purse, officers allegedly found a pill bottle with no label which contained a small amount of heroin and two pills, identified as Klonopin and suboxone.
She was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of heroin and possession of a controlled substance.
Officer Fraz Harker also assisted at the scene.
