Hope United Methodist Church news for April 19th

By From Carol Gardner-

We were very blessed to have Patrick and Jessica Alyea conducting our service on Sunday, April 17. They are a dedicated couple, who are planning a mission to Hungary in the fall.

Jessica opened with a spirited song, "Open Up the Heavens." She also had the Children's Moments, stressing that we are all created equal in God's eyes. She used M&M's as an illustration, that even though they are each different on the outside, all are the same inside.

Patrick's message, "Who's in My Neighborhood?" was based on Matthew 22:34-40. This also followed the message that despite the differences among Protestant denominations, we all have basically the same message and belief in Jesus as our Savior. He is a sincere and gifted speaker.

The final song, "In Christ Alone My Hope is Found," was led by Jessica.

God's Stewards were pianist, Nelda; liturgist, Mark; Levites, the Mizes; hymn leader, Carla; sound, Kayla; and Cleaning, the Wassons.
