Hope United Methodist Church news for Dec. 20th

In the Gospel Lesson, Matthew 1:18-25, Joseph was approached by an angel, who said, do not hesitate to take Mary as your wife. The child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and his name shall be Jesus. He will save people from their sins.
The lighting of the Candle of Love was done by the Essex family.
The Christmas Cards which had accumulated in the Narthex were distributed by the children, and treats were given by Shirley and John Robertson, carrying on the tradition started by his father years ago.
Thank you to all who attended last Sunday in support of our DS, Bev Perry.
Thank you to Marsha Tobias for coordinating the Christmas Party. It was well attended, and was a fun evening!
