Hope United Methodist Church news for Jan. 11th

The Sermon Sunday was "Baptism of our Lord," with Scriptures from Acts 10:34-43 and Matthew 3:13-17. The theme for this day was "Rebirth."

Thanks to those who stayed after worship and removed the remaining Christmas decorations.

Dates to Remember:

  • Tuesdays at 7 p.m. -- Prayer Team

  • Wednesdays at 6 p.m. -- Bible Study

  • Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. -- Church Council Meeting

  • Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. -- Trustee Meeting

  • Sunday, Jan. 15 at 6:15 p.m. -- Fellowship and refreshments before Hymns of Hope Program at 7:15 pm

    The Hymns of Hope will be presented by David and Susan Brown, with Guest Choir of Tea Creek Baptist Church. There will be stories about the hymns "The Solid Rock," "I am Thine O Lord," "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus," "Hymn of Promise," and "We Shall Overcome."
