Hope woman arrested in narcotics raid

On January 19, 2016, the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at 3385 Virginia Street, Columbus, Indiana. Five individuals were arrested on multiple narcotics-related charges.

The following were taken to the Bartholomew County Jail:

Hope, Indiana

Dealing in Methamphetamine, Dealing in Heroin, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of an Injection Device

Bond: $156,000.00



Melinda K. Caudill, 38

711 Seminary St.

Madison, Indiana

Visiting a Common Nuisance, Parole Warrant

Bond: No Bond



Robert F. Johnson, 44

3385 Virginia St.

Columbus, Indiana

Maintaining a Common Nuisance

Bond: $7,500.00



Levi W. Underwood, 24

No street address

Columbus, Indiana.

Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of an injection device

Bond: $12,500.00



Daniel J. Butler, 55

3385 Virginia St.

Columbus, Indiana

Possession of Methamphetamine

Bond: $65,000.00



Items located during the search included: approximately 14 grams of Methamphetamine, approximately 4 grams of Heroin, numerous Controlled Substances, multiple syringes and paraphernalia plus other narcotics-related items.



All persons are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
