Immunization, prescription drug reminders issued by school nurse
Prescription medication that must be taken by students during the school day must be brought in the original container and not a baggie. Written permission from the parent/guardian is required to dispense the medicine.
Parents of 5th-grade students are reminded that the following immunizations are required by the start of the 2015-16:
- 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine on or after the first birthday separated by age-appropriate interval or written history of disease, proof of having had the disease.
- 1 dose of tetanus-diptheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given on or after 10 years of age.
- 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4)
