INDOT contractors to begin major State Road 252 project
SHELBY COUNTY, Ind.-The Indiana Department of Transportation is preparing to launch a $12 million project that will widen and rehabilitate State Road 252 between Interstate 65 and Flat Rock over the next two years.
The project's prime contractor, Milestone, of Columbus, plans to mobilize in mid-August. This year's work will focus on replacing State Road 252's concrete pavement under I-65 from ramp to ramp. Traffic will be shifted for construction. Lanes will have width restrictions.
Next year, State Road 252 operations will extend east nearly seven miles to Flat Rock. The project includes pavement patching, widening and bridge work at Lewis Creek and Flat Rock River. One section of pavement will be resurfaced; another section will be completely rebuilt.[[In-content Ad]]
