Ivy Tech offering agriculture scholarship

The Ivy Tech Foundation has partnered with Jackson County Co-Op Credit Union to offer a new annual $500 scholarship available for Ivy Tech students in Jackson, Bartholomew, and Jennings counties. The Jackson County Co-op Credit Union Scholarship is designed to help support students who have demonstrated academic success and plan to pursue a degree in agriculture.
"We are delighted to partner with Ivy Tech to provide the Jackson County Co-op Credit Union Scholarship, which reflects the importance of educating and training our agriculture workforce," said Kristina McIntosh, CEO of Jackson County Co-Op Credit Union. "Ivy Tech is committed to providing students with a pathway to academic and professional success by offering high-quality knowledge, skills, and education."
The scholarship is valued at $500 per year and will be awarded beginning this fall to a full or part-time student from Jackson, Bartholomew, or Jennings County. Other eligibility requirements include that students must plan to pursue a degree in agriculture, have completed at least one semester, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and demonstrate financial need.
"The Jackson County Co-op Credit Union Scholarship will enable the Ivy Tech Foundation to support our agriculture students as they prepare for a successful career," said Therese Copeland, Ivy Tech Executive Director of Resource Development. "We greatly appreciate this generous contribution from the Jackson County Co-Op Credit Union."
