Jeffrey Michael "Mike" Deiwert, 54, of Flat Rock

Jeffrey Michael "Mike" Deiwert, 54, of Flat Rock, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at IU Health Methodist Hospital.

He was a farmer and had previously worked at Walmart Distribution Center, Auto Zone, and Ace Hardware.

Mike graduated from Southwestern High School in 1981 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University.

He was a member of ABATE club.

Mike enjoyed antiques, flea markets, and riding motorcycles. He collected Oliver and Wheel Horse tractors. Mike was also an animal lover.

Born on January 25, 1963 in Shelbyville, Mike was the son of Dick Deiwert, Sr. and Vivian L. Riley Walker.

Survivors include his parents; son, Matt (Stephanie) Deiwert; grandson, Carson Deiwert; fiancé, Nancy Mann; brother, Dick (Dawn) Deiwert, Jr.; step-daughter, Stephanie Vincent; step-granddaughter, Erica Bostic; step-brothers, Mike (Kellie) Bowers and Robert Reynolds; step-sisters, Joy Turner, Deb Atkins, and Valeria Engleking; fiance's son, Jack Siebert; several nieces and nephews; and six dogs, multiple cats, two horses, and two mules.

Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Sharlene Deiwert, Edith M. Scott, and Tommy Riley.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. Burial will follow at Norristown Cemetery.
