Jets baseball wins over Morristown, Edinburgh

The Jets varsity baseball team came out swinging Saturday, knocking out 18 hits on their way to a 19-2 victory over Morristown.
Sophomore Eric McMullen led the Jets on both the mound and at the plate. McMullen pitched a complete game (5 innings) allowing only 2 runs on four hits and went 4-5 at the plate with 2 RBI's. Senior Brooks Bailey, junior Nathan Branum and freshman Sam Meek also contributed multiple hits and RBI's.

Freshman Kadin Pattingill threw a no-hitter in the reserve teams 16-0 win in game 2 of the varsity/reserve double header. Pattingill had 11 strikeouts and went 1-2 in the game with a triple.

The Jets baseball team defeated Edinburgh Thursday evening by a score of 5-2.
Senior Rory Thayer led the Jets both on the mound and at the plate. Thayer pitched 5 2/3 innings striking out 9 and then was 2-2 from the plate with two stolen bases. Junior Will Rose came in to finish the sixth inning and the rest of the game to earn 3rd save of the year.
