MainSource donates tickets for Hope school trip

Hope Elementary School fifth graders were surprised with a visit by MainSource Bank's mascot, Sunny the SuperSaver, who brought a welcome gift -- tickets for all the students to go to Kings Island.

According to the bank, Hope 5th grade teacher, Jennifer Wamsley, applied for a grant to supplement the cost of a field trip to Kings Island for the entire class, but did not get approved. However, MainSource Bank's Emily Steele, digital media and social marketing manager, noticed through social media that Wamsley hadn't received the grant. Steele stepped in with a sponsorship donation of 60 Kings Island tickets for all the students.

MainSource Bank focuses attention on financial literacy and teaching children the importance of saving for the future.
