Maria Shepherd, 71, of Hartsville
She spent the last 11 months of her life residing at Miller's Merry Manor.
Maria was a homemaker for most of her life. She also did occasional housekeeping and working at restaurants.
She was a member of Hartsville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with friends from church, going places with her husband, watching classic television shows, and playing bingo.
Maria was born on Aug. 2nd, 1946 in Manila, Philippines to Pablo Mercado and Lourdes Casado Lockhart. She was later adopted by her stepfather, Herschel H. Lockhart. She married Max Shepherd on Aug. 6th, 1973, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22nd, 2017.
Survivors include her son, Eric Shepherd of Hartsville; half-brother, Harold Lockhart; and half-sisters, Fran Harrison and Cecilia Morris.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cremation is planned and a family gathering will be held at a later date.[[In-content Ad]]
