Marjorie Kay Hatton, 76 of Flat Rock

Marjorie Kay Hatton, 76 of Flat Rock passed away Monday Aug. 24th, 2015 at her home.

She was born February 5, 1939 in Rush County and was the daughter of Layton and Edythe York McColley. She graduated from Waldron High School in 1957 and married Richard "Dick" Hatton Sept. 16, 1960.

Kay was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church and Norristown Eastern Star.

Kay was a homemaker who loved working on their family farm, cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, canning and tending to her flowers. She cherished her time with family and friends.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lewis Creek Baptist Church with Pastor John Carlstrom officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope and on Saturday one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th st., Col., IN 47201 or through the funeral home.

Kay is survived by her husband Dick of Flat Rock; children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Hatton of Flat Rock and Markita (Dick) Turvey of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Blake and Dylan Smith of Flat Rock, Jeremy (Rena') Bulmer of Edinburgh,

Brian (Jennifer) Bulmer of Greenwood and Jill (Paul) Wiseman of Greensburg; great grandchildren, Gabe, Gavin, Greer, Gidget, Ayva Grayden, Layne and Gracie; brother, Jay (Terri) McColley of Morristown; sisters, Linda (Jim) Cord, Lou Ann (Greg) Blake and Beth Thomas, all of Shelbyville; her beloved collie, Roscoe and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Thank you to five outstanding caregivers, Linda Long, Lisa Rood, Jennifer Hockersmith, Madonna Dunaway and Melinda Asbury.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Ronnie Smith and brother-in-law, Ronnie Thomas.[[In-content Ad]]
