Moving Vietnam Wall Memorial arrives Thursday
The Moving Wall exhibit is being organized by American Legion Post 24 in Columbus. The wall will be be open for viewing around the clock from noon on July 27th through 10 a.m. July 31st.
The wall will be led into Columbus by a parade starting at Sam's Club on the west side at 9 a.m., proceeding through downtown Columbus, past Garland Book Cemetery, up U.S. 31, down 25th Street past the American Legion Post, and then down Washington Street before heading down State Road 11 to the fairgrounds.
The Indiana National Guard will have a recruiting tent at the location, along with other military displays and a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter available for paid rides. There will also be an inflatable obstacle course for children.
There will also be guest speakers, music and other events during the exhibit at the fairgrounds.
