October fun on the Town Square Friday night

The Hope Town Square and Yellow Trail Museum will be having a spooky good time for families on Friday night, Oct. 21st.

The annual Goodies, Goblins, and Ghost Stories event will held from 5 to 8 p.m., hosted by the Hope branch of the Bartholomew County Public Library and the museum.

Dave Miller, manager of the Hope library branch,

"Part of what we are doing with Goodies, Goblins and Ghost Stories is a trunk or treat on the Hope Town square," Miller said. "Kids will come in costume and there is a costume parade. And then we will have a trunk and treat. We will have people bringing the candy to the kids, rather than kids going out for the candy."

Miller said the library is still looking for volunteers interested in donating and handing out candy.

"Just bring candy, back up to the Town Square and give candy to the goblins as they come by," Miller said.

Other events include storytellers who will be telling spooky stories for children, hayrides, a campfire with S'mores being made and a fortune teller.

The Yellow Trail Museum will also be hosting its "Night in the Museum" where volunteers will be making several exhibits come to life for the night, Miller said.

The event is free. For more information or to volunteer, call the library at 812-546-5310.[[In-content Ad]]
