Petersville United Methodist Church news for Dec. 13th

Patsy Harris will serve as liturgist and Teresa Covert will give the children's message. The Michael Tungate family will be lighting the fourth Advent Candle.
The children and youth of the church will present "Do You Hear What I Hear" in sign language and song. Also, they will create a Nativity scene and join with the adult choir in singing "Joy to the Whole World." A time of fellowship will follow the service.
On Dec. 24th, a candlelight Christmas Eve service will begin at 7 p.m. at the church; Holy communion will be served.
On Sunday morning Dec. 25th, an informal, casual service will begin at 10 a.m. - that is an hour later than the usual 9 a.m. time.
On Sunday morning Jan. 1st, the worship service also will begin at 10 a.m. The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will lead John Wesley's New Year's Day Covenant service and will serve Holy Communion.
The Monday night Bible study at the Nolting home will not meet until after the beginning of the new year.
The Monday night Bible study at the Kimerling home will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 19th and then be on hiatus for the rest of the year. The Sit and Stitch group will not meet again until after the first of the year. Choir practice will be held Dec. 21st at 6:30 p.m.
