Petersville United Methodist Church news for Jan. 24th

Deb Loper will be liturgist and will share scriptures Matthew 5:1-12 and Micah 6:1-8. Teresa Covert will give the children's sermon. A time of fellowship will follow the service.
The Baker's Dozen Bible study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the parsonage on Monday, and the Journey Bible study group will meet at the Kimerling home, also at 6:30 p.m. Sit 'n Stitch will meet at the Nolting home at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Choir practice will be at 6:30 p.m. at the church on Wednesday, and Prayer group, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
Coming up: Administrative Council will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 1st at the church. Chris Kimerling will chair the meeting.
"Frosty Loves February" on Saturday Feb. 4th is for all kids and the young at heart; activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church and will include singing, stories, crafts, games and snacks. For additional information, contact Teresa Covert at 812-371-0587.
United Methodist Men will meet at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 5th at the church. The men's group is planning a Valentine Party for Friday Feb. 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the church; the cost will be $15 per person or $25 for a couple, and the meal will be catered by Teresa Covert.
A "Fat Tuesday" dinner for the church and the public will be served on Tuesday Feb. 28th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, milk, coffee and juice and the cost will be $7. Children under 5 yrs. old may eat free. All proceeds from the meal will benefit Kezia Scherer-Berry's mission trip to Uganda in the summer.
The rescheduled church wide Planning Session will be held Saturday March 4th from 9 a.m. until noon at the church.
