Petersville United Methodist Church news for Oct. 18th

The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will bring the message, Mercy Always, on Sunday morning at the 9 a.m. worship service at Petersville United Methodist Church.

Karen Mize, Liturgist, will share scriptures from Psalms 65 and Luke 18:9-14. Teresa Covert will give the children's message, and the adult choir will share special music. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

The Monday night Bible studies will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. at the Kimerling and Nolting homes. The Sit and Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice is Wednesday night at the church at 6:30 p.m. The Prayer group, led by Barb Hedrick, will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

The Walking group meets at 9 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the church, weather permitting. Otherwise, the group will meet at Fair Oaks Mall.

"Trunk or Treat" will be observed in the church parking lot on Friday Oct. 28; the little goblins are invited to visit between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The 49th annual Turkey Supper will be served on Friday Nov. 4 and Saturday Nov. 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening. Adult tickets will be $10, children's tickets will be $5 and children 4 yrs. and younger may eat for free.

Bonnie Burbrink is serving as chairperson of the turkey supper and Karen Mize is her co-chair.
