Phyllis Anne Barrett, 78, of Greensburg
Born Aug. 26, 1939 in Madison County, KY, she was the daughter of Dewey Hardy and Maude Reynolds Keplinger. She married Claude Barrett Oct. 8, 1955 and he preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1993.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, fishing, and gardening.
Phyllis is survived by children, Diana (Mark) Gearhart, Cindy (Frank Jr.) Rousey, Gary (Darlena) Barrett, Timothy (Betty) Barrett, all of Greensburg, Tina (Scott) Hockersmith of North Vernon and Melissa Dykes of Greensburg;b13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Shirley, Norman and Curtis Hardy, all of Kentucky.
The funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 12th at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Keith Dover officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 11th, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 10 until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Hawcreek Cemetery north of Hope.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Riley Hospital for Children.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Donnie Barrett; granddaughters, Vickie League and Claudia Hockersmith; sisters, Doris Hall, Geneva Baxter, Linda Akridge and Betty Conner and brothers, Ernest and Carl Hardy.[[In-content Ad]]
