Pooch parade planned to aid animal shelter
The parade will start at noon on the Hope Town Square. A $5 registration fee will benefit the animal shelter.
There will be a junior division for dogs 12 years old and under and a senior division for dogs older than 12.
Ribbons/awards given in each category:
1) Pooch only in costume (the most Irish)
2) Pooch plus parent/owner in costume (the most Irish)
3) Peoples'Choice Award
Animals will be available for adoption at information tables. Agencies invited to attend include Bartholomew County Humane Society, City of Columbus Animal Care Services, Neuter Scooter and the Paula A. Pollitt Animal Shelter.
Donated, pet-friendly items will be auctioned to benefit the animal shelter.
You can register in advance or the day of the parade. Registration on March 17th begins at 11 a.m. on the north side of the Hope Town Square.
