Pop-In to Pre-K starts today at Hope Community Center
Chelsea Kendall, executive director of the community center, says that people are invited to stop by to see their work with the kids from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13th through Thursday, Dec. 15th.
Kendall said she would love to see parents, community members, as well as leaders of businesses and non-profits, as well as elected officials come by to see the work happening in the center.
The organizers of the event, All-IN for Pre-K, are hoping to raise awareness and push for legislative action to fund pre-kindergarten programs around the state.
Kendall said the pre-k program at the community center is actually running below capacity. She said there are 16 students enrolled now, and there is room for up to 24 children.
