Purdue Extension fruit-tree pruning workshop delayed
The Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop originally scheduled for this Saturday by Bartholomew County's Purdue Extension office has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 14th March. Space is still available.
It's early in the season, but success with tree fruit depends on dormant-season training.
Those attending the workshop will:
Learn the basics of fruit tree pruning, including "when" and "how." Learn goals for pruning, and the cuts that "get it done." See and try different kinds of pruning tools. Find out about pruning safety. Get hands-on practice with the trees. Discover where you can find answers when the workshop is history. The workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., on a farm just northeast of Columbus. Call 812-379-1665 to register and to get the address. Dress for the weather and bring pruners and gloves.[[In-content Ad]]
