Purdue extension office plans upcoming classes

The Bartholomew County Extension ANR Educator holds monthly meetings for beginning and small farmers to learn and to share information.

A combination of farm visits and topics covered indoors are offered, including:

  • 28 March: High Tunnels (Webcast) -- Bartholomew County Public Library Conference Room

  • 4 April - Visit Goat Milk Stuff in Scottsburg

  • 2 May - Pasture Walk with Rob Zupanzic at the Smith Farm

  • 19 September - Visit a small Bartholomew County farm in the beginning stages of Permaculture Design

  • 3 October: Farmer Grants with Roy Ballard -- Bartholomew County Public Library Conference Room

  • 7 November: Organics (Webcast) -- Bartholomew County Public Library Conference Room

  • 5 December: Permaculture with Rhonda Baird and Cheryl Carter Jones -- Bartholomew County Public Library Conference Room

    These meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. on each date.
