Purdue offers help with farmers markets

Experienced or new vendors with any farm market or farmers market will find needed facts and tips at Market Vendor Training offered by Purdue Extension.

Sessions will begin on Nov. 14th at the Purdue Extension Bartholomew County office, 783 South Marr Road, continuing monthly for five Tuesdays. Most sessions begin at 6:30 p.m.

Topics will include:

  • Establishing Your Business

  • Setting Up

  • Food Safety and Home-Based Vendor Rules

  • Marketing

  • An opportunity to attend the Columbus Area Local Food Summit on Feb. 13.

    A certificate is available for those who attend all sessions. Registration is free with a phone call to 812-379-1665, but space is limited.
