Local grain farmers will want to catch two back-to-back programs offered Wednesday Feb. 11th at Bartholomew County's Purdue Extension office.

The 8 a.m. "Donut Series" webcast offers specialist Jim Camberato on "Using Nitrogen Wisely for the 2015 Corn Crop." Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for coffee.

At 9:30 a.m., "Farm Bill 2014 Decisions" will cover the new Farm Bill programs and how to navigate the choices and decisions necessary to enroll. Speakers will include Jim Mintert of the Purdue Center for Commercial Agriculture as well as Troy Hill from the Bartholomew County office of the Farm Service Agency. Topics will include online decision tools, crop insurance, and risk management. Farm Bureau Insurance will sponsor lunch for attendees.

Both programs are free of charge, but space is limited. Register by calling 379-1665 no later than Monday Feb. 9th.
