Sheriff to offer drug take-back day Thursday

If Bartholomew County residents have expired, unused, and/or unwanted prescription drugs, they can safely dispose of them on Thursday, June 23.
In conjunction with Cummins Inc. Community-wide Recycling Day, the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office will accept expired, unused and/or unwanted prescription drugs from Bartholomew County residents, from 6:am until 6:pm, in the parking lot at Cummins CEP.
The CEP entrance is located at 500 Central Avenue.
Medications will not be accepted from businesses - like pharmacies. These businesses should properly manage their drug waste under federal and state hazardous waste regulations.
