Sheriff to receive Teddy bears for police cars

Jacob Clark, 10, who will be entering the 5th grade at Southside Elementary School, will donate 75 new Teddy Bears to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office. The Teddy Bears will be used for children in crisis as a way to provide comfort during traumatic situations.

Jacob raised funds for his project "Eva's Hands" in honor of his baby sister, Eva, who died at birth.

The presentation will take place in the Sheriff's Office Training Room, Bartholomew County Jail (first floor), 543 Second Street at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24.

"I am very proud of Jacob. His hard work is going to help a lot of kids going through some very tough situations" said Sheriff Matt Myers.

Bartholomew County Deputies will carry "Eva's Hands" Teddy Bears in their patrol vehicles.[[In-content Ad]]
