Signups available for sheriff's youth academy

The Sheriff's 2017 Youth Academy is more than half full. Register today while openings still remain for Bartholomew County residents 6-9-years-old and 10-13-years-old.
6-9 year olds have a 2-day Academy, June 8 and 9, with activities including: Safety courses, D.A.R.E., K-9. This Academy will be held from 8:am - 4:pm. Cost is $25 per participant. Scholarship are available.
10-13 year olds have a 4-day Academy with activities that include shooting range safety. This Academy is June 6 - 9, 8:am - 4:pm. The cost is $35 per participant with scholarships available.
All participants will attend a graduation ceremony at the end of the event on Friday, June 9.

This Academy has been designed by law enforcement professionals to expose our youngest citizens to role models in public safety as well as providing them a real understanding of the law enforcement experience.
Participants will work to demonstrate the power and importance of teamwork by experiencing numerous activities/demonstrations and other fun activities.
