Simmons Schoolhouse committee to meet

Simmons School, the one-room schoolhouse behind Hope Elementary, is operated by a committee of volunteers known as the One Room Schoolhouse Committee. There have been some recent changes in the officers of that organization, and with that it is obvious that we need to get better organized to carry out the things that building and its field trips require.

The One Room Schoolhouse Committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the schoolhouse. We hope to keep this meeting under an hour.

The committee would like to invite anyone who loves the schoolhouse and would like to give a little time to its care and its continued programs to attend that meeting. Those who would like to hear what is happening are welcome even if you feel you have no more time to devote to an organization. And of course, we want to ask our past members to attend.

We hold meeting just a few times a year.
