A crash Sunday night on State Road 9 in Hope injured two drivers.
On November 15, 2015, at 7:30 pm, Bartholomew County Sheriff's Deputy Terrance Holderness was called to the scene of personal injury accident on State Road 9 north of Grand Street.
A white 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Joshua Campfield, 24, Hope, was southbound on State Road 9 north of Grand Street when a yellow 2002 Ford Ranger, driven by David Day, 30, Shelbyville, crossed the centerline as it travelled northbound.
Campfield swerved into the northbound lane to avoid a collision just as Day noticed that he had drifted across the centerline and corrected his vehicle back into the northbound lane.
Both vehicles impacted head-on and came to rest blocking both lanes of State Road 9.
