Swank among deputies promoted by new sheriff
Detective Kevin Abner has been promoted to Sergeant in the Detective Division. Sgt. Abner has been a Deputy with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office since 2007.
Deputy William Kinman, Jr. has been promoted to Detective. Detective Kinman has been with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office since 2003 and formerly served in the Road Patrol Division as an FTO (Field Training Officer).
Deputy Chad Swank has been promoted to Detective. Detective Swank has been a member of the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office since 2000. He previously served in the Detective Division and he is a certified Evidence Technician.
Sgt. Brandon Slate has been appointed to Lieutenant in the Road Patrol Division. Lt. Slate has been with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office since 2003. Lt. Slate previously served in the Narcotics Division and has been a Sgt. in the Road Patrol Division.
Deputy Gary Knoef has been promoted to Sergeant in the Road Patrol Division. Sgt. Knoef has been a Deputy with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office since 2004. Prior to his promotion, Sgt. Knoef was an FTO (Field Training Officer) and will still participate in the FTO Program.
Sheriff Matt Myers said: "I am pleased to promote these officers." "Their experience and work ethic will insure their success in these new positions".
