The Hauser boys varsity tennis team was recently honored as the 2017 Boys' All-State Academic Team by the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association.

The association each year recognizes teams and individuals based on how the player and team do in the class room as well as on the court. To be considered for this award, the entire varsity team needs to have a GPA above 3.6 and they are also evaluated on how the team performed throughout the season.

Sam Meek and Jacob Johnson were also selected as honorable mention for the 2017 boys individual Academic All-State Award. Only seniors are eligible for this and evaluated criteria include GPA and SAT scores as well as their varsity record for the season.

Sam Meek, Justin Compton, Alex Gross, Jacob Johnson, Jacob Luken and Ethan Wallace were also named All-Conference and Coach John Pratt was named Mid-Hoosier Conference Coach of the Year.[[In-content Ad]]
