Theresa Leigh Casey, 54, Franklin

Theresa Leigh Casey, 54, of Franklin, died Tuesday, July 7th, 2015, at her home.

A registered nurse, she was a graduate of Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She also served in the U.S. military (active and reserve) for a total of eight years and was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

Theresa enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and Southwest USA artisan works. She loved caring for her dogs and cats, and also loved dancing. While she called Indiana her home for the last several years, she previously resided in Ohio, Hawaii, Arizona, and New Mexico.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Monday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with visitation from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock, Ind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Judson University's Jonathan (Casey) Hoffman and Amy Ann (Rucker) Bernard Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Born July 7th, 1961, in Indianapolis, Theresa was the daughter of John J. Casey and Florence Julia Nading Casey.

Survivors include her mother, of Columbus, and her father of Gibraltar, Mich.; siblings, Shawn (Linda) Casey, Patrick (Sandy) Casey, and Michael Casey, all of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Diane (David) Hinojosa of Toledo, Ohio, Bridget Elizabeth (Larry) Baxley of Brandon, Fla., and Julia Ann Huff of New Carlisle, Ohio; her companion, Daniel Jackson of Franklin, Ind.; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Casey, and grandparents, Lincoln and Susie Nading.[[In-content Ad]]
