Valentines Dinner to benefit Hope Relay for Life on Saturday
Organizer Jonna Shepherd explains that this is the third annual Valentine's Dinner for the group.
"We do this to raise money for the American Cancer Society," she said. "We would just like for the community to come out and support it."
Shepherd says that the event features a sitdown dinner, including grilled, boneless pork chops or chicken, a baked potato, green beans and rolls. Tickets are $15 for a single person and $25 for a couple. Entertainment will be provided by Midnight Express Mobile Entertainment.
"It is just kind of laid back," Shepherd said. "We don't have any agenda. We do explain what the Relay is all about and what the American Cancer Society does for the community."
The taste of chocolate table is $5 more, Shepherd said.
"There will be a few things that aren't chocolate, for people who for some odd reason don't like chocolate," Shepherd laughed.
