Varisty boys finish 4th at cross-country meet

Hauser's junior high boys team placed second, and the high school boys finished fourth at the Mid-Hoosier Conference meet at Shelbyville's Blue River Park on Saturday.

The middle school boys were conference runners-up with 43 points to Southwestern's 37. Ryan Ault led the Jets with a time of 11:15 and a 3rd place finish. Tanner Ault finished 7th in 11:35, and Noah Estes was 8th in 11:36. Alex Bower (12:26) and Landon Asher (12:27) came in 14th and 15th. Kobe Meahl was 17th (12:39), Bryce Hadley 19th (12:56), Sam Estes 28th (14:03), and Alex Woodson-Johnson 39th (20:11).

Ashley Chambers placed 9th in 13:15 to lead Hauser's middle-school girls. Tammy Essex was 21st (14:25), Destynee Chumbley finished 34th (16:14), and Emily Moore came in 35th (16:20).

Tori Chander ran 23:43 in the high school girls race for 6th place. Maleah Bates came in 15th with a time of 25:33, Naomi Gollmer was 29th (27:54), and Kristin Keith was 37th (31:54)

In the high school boys race, David Seelye finished 5th in 18:06. Austin Everroad placed 18th with a time of 19:46, Jordan Johnson was 20th (19:56), Owen Green 22nd (20:23), and Hunter Albright 29th (22:08). Sam Robinson took 31st place (22:57) and Noah Benge 33rd (23:27).

Chandler and Seelye both earned All-Conference honors.
