Track teams takes wins over Trinity Central and Crothersville

Hauser's varsity girls and boys track teams began their season with wins over Trinity Lutheran and Crothersville at home on Monday. 
Hauser's girls scored 75 points to Crothersville's 38 and Trinity's 26. The boys scored 61 points to 52 for Trinity and 27 for Crothersville. 
Senior hurdler Grace Hasler won the girls 100 high (17.30) and 300 intermediate (49.30) races. Grace Isley was the winner in the 100 meter dash (14.10). Marnie Schwartzkopf finished first in the 800 meter run (2:44.70), while Tammy Essex took the 3200 meter run (17:21). Winners of field events were Mel Hasler in long jump (15'), Ashley Chambers in high jump (4' 4"), and Adonah Riddle in shot put (29' 6"). The Jets also swept the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 relays. 
The boys team was led by victories by John Bragg in high jump (5' 8") and long jump (18' 9 1/2"), Joe Sweet in the 110 high (19.10) and 300 intermediate (49.00) hurdles, and Dave Seelye in the 1600 (5:15) and 3200 (11:46) races. Eugene Wangila finished first in the 400 meter dash (59.30).
