Georgia C. Pickett, 89, of Hope
Georgia C. Pickett, 89, of Hope, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor.
Before retirement, she worked in the factory at Cummins where she was known as "Goldie." She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hope, Royals Neighbors of America, and Red Hats Society.
Georgia enjoyed bowling, playing Euchre, and was in a Bridge club. She also enjoyed traveling.
Born on July 16, 1928 in Hope, Georgia was the daughter of Herschel Harms and Trela Schafer Herron. She graduated from Hope High School in 1947.
Survivors include children, Daryl Bruce (Nancy) Neal of Hope and Judi (Steve) Ramer of Greensburg; grandchildren, Cozette (David Beadle) Neal of Columbus, Autumn (Jack) Ratliff of Franklin, Tennessee, Patrick (Lori) Neal of Arlington, Texas, Shana (Darren Konzelman) Ramer of Greensburg, and Brett (Alissa) Ramer of Indianapolis; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Pat More officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
