Carvin F. Bode, 89 of Hope
Carvin F. Bode, 89 of Hope died Wednesday Nov. 28 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
From March of 1953 to June of 1990 he was employed at Indiana Gas as a meter reader.
He graduated from Courtland High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953. He was a member of the Seymour Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Born Aug. 17, 1929 in Courtland, Indiana Carvin was the son of August and Anna Barkman Bode. He married Patricia White Dec. 2, 1972.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Hackman of Seymour; nephews, Brad Wiemiller of North Vernon, Mike Wiemiller of Courtland; a niece, Dianna Thornberry of Seymour; sister-in-law, Carol (Alva) Dailey of Hope and brother-in-law Kenney (Evelyn ) White of Columbus.
Carvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and a sister, Rosanna Wiemiller.
Cremation is planned and there will not be any services. Burial of Carvins cremains will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery with his wife Patricia.
