Charles Robert Campfield Sr., 66, of Hope
Charles Robert Campfield Sr., 66, of Hope, died Wednesday Nov. 7, 2018 at his home.
He had been employed as a hod carrier for Dale Shrader Masonry.
Born Jan. 3, 1952 in Indianapolis, Charles was the son of Charles Alfred and Imogene W. Bryant Campfield. He married Susan Hadley on Oct. 17, 1987, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Robert (Kristin) Weber of Edinburgh and Charles (Joshua) Campfield, Jr. of Hope; grandchildren, Jordan and Kaylee Campbell and Braxton Vanwhy, all of Edinburgh; sisters, Joyce Thompson of Columbus, Goldie (Kenny) Poole of Scipio; brothers, Chester Campfield of Westport and Rick Campfield of Lexington, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Westerns, NASCAR, horse-shoeing and attending races in North Vernon at the Twin Cities Race Track. His greatest accomplishment was his boys.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Poynter officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Southern Hospice Care in Batesville.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Annie Bridgewater.
