Hartsville man facing drug charges

Columbus police arrested a Hartsville man on a warrant and drug charge Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 4:15 p.m., CPD officers observed Tony W. Hiatt, 55, standing outside of a vehicle in the 1500 of State Street.
Officers confirmed a local warrant for Hiatt’s arrest and he was taken into custody a short time later. The officers reportedly located methamphetamine while searching Hiatt before transporting him to jail. Hiatt was remanded on the following preliminary charges:
- Bartholomew County Warrant
- Possession of Methamphetamine
