Rev. Norman Ray Wallace, 88, of Columbus
Rev. Norman Ray Wallace, 88, of Columbus passed away Saturday Dec.r 14, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Serving in many churches, he had been a minister for over 60 years.
He attended Evansville University and Butler University where he received Masters degrees. He had also received a teaching degree.
He was a member of East Columbus Christian Church and the Hope Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Born February 13, 1951 in Gibson County, Norman was the son of Neal and Ada Martin Wallace. He married Helen Andrews March 3, 1951 and she survives.
Other survivors include, son, Brent Wallace of Hope; daughter Amber Fleming of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ida Linder of Georgetown, KY and Sue Mauck of Venus, FL. And several nieces and nephews.
Norman enjoyed working with stained glass, creating walking sticks, hunting, fishing, yardwork and gardening.
Visitation for Norman will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at Norman Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Freedom cemetery in Waveland, IN.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the American Cancer Society or Gideon Bibles.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin Ray Wallace; daughter, Sheila Lambertson; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
