School resource officer to talk with public Monday

The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department says that Flat Rock-Hawcreek School district parents will have an opportunity to meet the district's school resources officer.  

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Jessica Pendleton will be available from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5th at the Hope Elementary School open house.

The sheriff's department announced plans in January to post two uniformed school resource officers in Bartholomew County schools this year. Deputies already perform hundreds of school security checks each year. BCSO has had deputies float between schools as needed.
