Garry L. Wright, 69, of Holton

Garry L. Wright, 69, of Holton, died Monday March 4, 2019 at his home.

Before retirement he was a mechanic for the automotive industry.

He was in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Versailles American Legion, post 173, the Eagles in Seymour and a member of the church of the outdoors.

He loved horseback riding, hunting, drag racing, music and working on cars.

Born February 19, 1950 in Shelbyville, Garry was the son of Jerry H. and Marie Richards Ross. He married Sandra J. Fondenberger May 15, 1998 and she survives.

Other survivors include, children, Carl (Melinda) Wright of Greensburg, James (Mattie) Wright of Greensburg, Jeff (Angel) Wright of Holton, Brandon Gearries of Columbus and Lorne Coffee of Seymour; six grandchildren and two step grandchildren; siblings, Jennifer Ross of Seymour, Jeffrey (Bernadette) Ross of Deputy; sister-in-law, Laura Wright of Cincinnati and brother-in-law, Mark Gay of Seymour.

The funeral for Garry will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Aerie Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Larry Wright and sister-in-law, Brenda Gay.
