Olive “Pat” Herron, 97, of Hope
Olive “Pat” Herron, 97, of Hope, passed away Thursday March 7, 2019 at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
Before retirement she was employed as a radio inspector for Arvin Industries, a punch press operator at Delco Remy and had been Co-Sexton of Hope Moravian Church for 19 years.
She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America for 72 years, Hope Moravian Church/Kola Class and Crimson Chicks Red Hat Club.
She was the last surviving member of her high school Class of 1939.
Born August 2, 1921 in Matthews, Indiana, Pat was the daughter of Charles Lloyd and Emma Walters Patterson. She married Robert F. “Shorty” Herron July 10, 1943 in Murfreesboro, TN and he preceded her in death November 2, 2001.
Pat’s funeral will be Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Hope Moravian Church with Pastor Andy Kilps officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 6 at the church. Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30 am at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Norman Funeral Home.

Pat is survived by children, Dennis (Linda) Herron of Hope, David (Judy) Herron of Lawrenceville, GA, Dana (Mike) DeBaun of St. Louis Crossing and Dawn (Steve) Wilson of Hope; grandchildren, Kris (Heather) Mote of Anderson, Heather (Walter) Miller of Hope, Sydney (John) LaSarge of Atlanta, GA, Gabrielle (Nathan) Lamb of Lawrenceville, GA, Carrissa (Andrew) Lorenz of Campbell, CA, Nicholas Wilson of San Francisco, CA, Connor Wilson and Clayton Wilson both of Hope; 13 great grandchildren and a sister, Colleen Bishop Zollman of Columbus.
Pat loved to read, go shopping, go to the Monday evening meal site where she enjoyed visiting with friends, cooking and baking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and siblings, Naomi Lucinda Patterson, Charlotte Ruth Patterson, Phillip Patterson and Mary Ann Patterson.
