Yellow Trail invites Hartsville residents for college events

By By Barb [email protected]

The Yellow Trail Museum would like to offer a special invitation to Hartsville residents (both now and in the past) to join us for the Sunday Socials in June and July.

The discussion will focus on Hartsville College and the town of Hartsville. On both June 2nd and July 7th, Michael Cartwright from the University of Indianapolis, will come to Hope to share his research on the college. He also will be looking for stories from residents that he may not have heard yet.

We would love to see a huge crowd on both days from 2 to 4 p.m. at the museum  There will be snacks and an opportunity to share information or just to listen to what others have to say. Anyone with pictures or old newspaper clippings are encouraged to bring those along, too. And we hope many from Hope and the other communities will attend.

The Yellow Trail Museum has been offering Sunday Socials for more than a year, as folks gather at the museum on the first Sunday of each month, from  to discuss the past of the Hope, Hartsville, Clifford, St. Louis Crossing, Rugby, or Old St. Louis areas. Many times there are photos shared or family stories added to the discussion.

Everyone is invited to these free discussions each month.

Any questions should be addressed by calling the museum at 812-546-8020 or Barb Johnson at 812-371-7969. Hope to see you there!
