Rev. Jerry D. Crouse, 82, of Shelbyville
Reverend Jerry D. Crouse, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home.
Jerry was a clergy in the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Indiana Conference of United Methodist Church and Hope Masonic Lodge. He was also an advanced EMT with the Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
Jerry enjoyed photography, stained glass, and reading.
Born on July 4, 1936 in Hartford City, IN, Jerry was the son of William J. and Erma Mae Wright Crouse. He married Ileen Mae Stephens on August 24, 1958, and she survives.
Other survivors include children, Cherie (Joel) Wesley of Plainfield, Tim (Geania) Crouse of Indianapolis, and Charlie Crouse of Boggstown; grandchildren, Matt, Kayla, and Kristin Wesley, Katelyn and Jacob Crouse, Stephenie (Noland) Andis, Natalya and Zane Meinhart, Jade, Emerald, Sapphire, and Opal Crouse, Billy and Brittany Stevens, Jaquelyn, Jordan, Stewart, Alex, and Max Crouse; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Liam Andis, and Aubrey and Lincoln Bandy.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jaunita Claytor, Patricia Tyson, Robert Crouse, William A. Crouse, and Joan Cale; son, Phil Crouse; and granddaughter, Natasha Crouse.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at West Street United Methodist Church in Shelbyville with Pastor Robert Keck officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. A graveside service will take place on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
